An evening to discover the great school of Genoese singer-songwriters. The talented singer Enrico Masiero reinterprets the great successes of illustrious exponents of Genoese song, songs presented in a new, personal and intimate guise. Music by Gino Paoli, Umberto Bindi, Fabrizio De André, Luigi Tenco, Bruno Lauzi, Ivano Fossati.

In a residential neighborhood of Genoa called Foce, which we could define as “magical”, a stone’s throw from the sea, sitting on some benches near the Cinema Aurora in Via Cecchi or at the tables of the Bar Igea in Corso Torino, a generation of young people with undoubted artistic talent, at the end of the ’50s, seemed ready to make the great leap and revolutionize the world of Italian music.

They are a group of friends, who write songs, poems, harmonies and whose names are Gian Franco and Gian Piero Reverberi, Giorgio Calabrese, Luigi Tenco, Bruno Lauzi, Gino Paoli, Umberto Bindi, Fabrizio De André.

Thus was born the “Genoese school” of Italian songwriting.
