Ten years of heartfelt music
This concert presents a work of ‘Libera Fantasia‘, born from the compositional research of pianist Giacomo Franzoso, with the intent of articulating his unique conception of temporal form.
Performed by a jazz trio, featuring Giovanni Di Vito on saxophone and Sandro Caparelli on double bass, the program consists of original compositions.
These pieces, conceived through spontaneous inspiration, intuitive flashes, and nocturnal or oneiric visions, have all been penned by the pianist over a decade of musical exploration, reflecting his extensive experience in jazz, popular music, and gospel traditions.
Franzoso's artistic endeavors and professional collaborations span jazz, gospel, pop, and singer-songwriter genres. As an accompanist, he has performed for eurythmy, silent film, and theater productions. He co-authored "La Filosofia di Monk o l’Incredibile Ricchezza del Mondo" (Mimesis) with Arrigo Cappelletti.
His accomplishments include participation in the Lelio Luttazzi Award and the Musicultura competition, performances for Steinway & Sons at the Piano City Milano festival and for Veneto Jazz, as well as appearances on Rai radio and television. He has also contributed to the field as a translator of musical editions and a writer for Scenari magazine."
