Dialogues between Tradition and Contemporary Music
The “MEDITERRANEA” project stems from the encounter of three musicians who traverse the sonic geographies of the Mediterranean with a contemporary perspective, open to the cross-pollination of languages and timbral experimentation.
The instruments —Arabic oud, piano and live electronics, ethnic and folk percussion— collectively merge elements of traditional Middle Eastern music with modern rhythmic structures and electronic atmospheres, giving rise to a hybrid, enveloping, and original sound.
At the core of the project lies the oud, an ancient instrument and a symbol of Arab musical culture, here reinterpreted in a dialogic and experimental key. The piano, cello, and transverse flute serve as a harmonic bridge between West and East. The percussion, finally, unites ancestral timbres with syncopated patterns and grooves, creating pulsating and stratified rhythms that sustain and transform the entire sonic framework.

This is a music of fusion, rich in improvisation and evocative themes, in which each piece is constructed as a narrative microcosm where tradition is reinterpreted in light of contemporary aesthetic sensibilities. The trio offers an immersive musical experience that combines the depth of roots with the power of rhythm, in a journey between acoustic memory and electronic tension, between poetic evocation and sonic physicality.
