A sophisticated encounter where the refinement of jazz meets the warmth of soul is brought to life by this acoustic trio for vocals, piano, and double bass. A minimalist yet richly nuanced ensemble, it is capable of traversing eras and genres, reinterpreting the great classics of the African-American repertoire from Billie Holiday and Nina Simone to Ray Charles and Erykah Badu with originality and sensitivity.

The project stems from the artistic synergy of three musicians united by a common vision: to convey to the audience the emotional depth and expressive intensity of the great soul and jazz voices through refined arrangements, improvisational interplay, and an authentically acoustic sound.

Jessica Zeca Cumbe is a Mozambican singer whose musical journey is marked by versatility and a passion for the art of interpretation. She launched her career in Mozambique within the gospel scene, where she cultivated her distinct vocal identity and artistic sensibility. Over time, she expanded her repertoire to include genres such as pop, soul, R&B, traditional Mozambican music, and, most notably, jazz-a genre in which she found the space to express her musicality with profound freedom.

Over the years, she has collaborated with several renowned artists of the Mozambican music scene, establishing herself as a prominent performer in her country. In pursuit of further artistic refinement, she relocated to Italy, where she is currently studying Jazz Vocals at the Agostino Steffani Conservatory.

In Italy, she actively participates in musical projects and cultural initiatives, exploring new musical idioms and experiences that continue to enrich her artistic path. Her voice carries the vibrant colors of her homeland and the sophistication of jazz, uniting tradition and innovation in every performance.
