BRASIL – Heloisa Lourenço

- Heloisa Lourenço vocals and percussion,
- Marco Ponchiroli piano,
- Alvise Seggi doublebass.
This multifaceted South American artist has personality to spare, and as Luma, she possesses an extraordinary voice. From her warm and enveloping timbre alone, one can perceive the emotion this marvelous singer can convey. For this occasion, she is accompanied by two talented and refined Venetian musicians: pianist Marco Ponchiroli and bassist Alvise Seggi.
The trio presents a repertoire that pays homage to the musical tradition of Brazil, featuring recent composers such as Chico Buarque, Djavan, Ivan Lins, and Caetano Veloso, as well as historical figures like A. C. Jobim and D. Caymmi. The program also includes pieces drawn from Caribbean (H. Belafonte) and Cuban musical culture, along with reinterpretations of well-known overseas standards in a Latin-American style. It is a concert of high musical caliber that is, at the same time, enjoyable and immediately impactful.
