Soul Voice
September 11 @ 19:00 - 20:30
Betty Sfriso stands out on the Venetian music scene for her uniquely dark timbre and the enveloping, warm intensity of her voice, echoing the spirit and energy of the great American soul icons.
Having performed as a soloist with the Venice Gospel Ensemble, Joy Singers, Big Vocal Orchestra, and Max and the Seventh Sound, she connects with audiences above all through pure soul and her personal interpretations of unforgettable soul classics.
Accompanying this extraordinary artist is pianist and composer Giacomo Franzoso, a refined and sensitive jazz musician who creates a unique, engaging atmosphere in deep dialogue with both the voice and the audience.
The ability to move people is the common thread uniting these two musicians—a ribbon tying together the songs of a concert dedicated to soul music, spanning traditional gospel roots of prayer and hope to rhythm ‘n’ blues and contemporary pop poetry: music as an instrument of light, a voice for the soul.
Admission subject to availability. Mandatory drink: €15.00
