This musical genre originates from the unrepeatable artistic experience of guitarist Django Reinhardt, who is considered its creator and greatest exponent: he made possible the union between the ancient gypsy musical tradition of manouche lineage and American jazz.
The fruit of this union is a genre that combines the sound and expressive creativity of 1930s swing with the musical trend of French valse musette and eclectic gypsy virtuosity.

Thanks to his father, he approached the music of Django Reinhardt from a very young age, starting from that moment on a path of personal study in the language of the manouche guitar.
