RITA BINCOLETTO: tribute to Luciano Menetto.

August 26 @ 19:30 - 20:30
  • Rita Bincoletto
    vocals
  • Diego Vio
    guitar

The third appointment with the Women For Freedom in Jazz festival features a tribute to the Venetian poet Luciano Menetto.

An unprecedented project, to be presented live for the very first time on this occasion, “Cielomar” (“Sky & Sea”) is born from an idea by Bincoletto and Vio in composing original tracks and improvisation, with the intent of highlighting the eternal sparks and primary elements that inspire life and music, where visions become seascapes and infinite skies, contrasting intimate sensations dancing in continuous metamorphosis.

In search of these suggestions, the duo rediscovered the poems of Luciano Menetto, a Venetian poet who with his lyrics, his intuitions, and with the refined and musical use of the Venetian language, manages to elevate the feeling of the soul to a cosmic dimension, leaving a gaze that always reaches beyond the horizon.

Rita Bincoletto and Diego Vio have been collaborating for many years in search of a personal sound capable of blending their instruments—voice and guitar—in deep listening and interplay.
Both graduating with top honors in jazz vocals and classical guitar respectively, they have participated in numerous projects, experimenting with different musical genres rich in cross-contaminations.

They are also committed to bringing their experience to collaborations with other forms of art, participating in both traditional and experimental theatrical performances.
It was precisely within this context, a few years ago, that they discovered and delved into the poetry and acquaintance of the Venetian poet Luciano Menetto.

In 2022, they released their first album of lyrics and original compositions, “Duende” (Abeat Records), which journeys between jazz and Mediterranean influences.

Admission subject to availability. Mandatory drink: €15.00
