Semo ciapai coe bombe

Batisto Coco celebrates forty years of salsa in Venetian dialect. In dialogue with Giorgio Cecchetti, the band will reveal the behind-the-scenes anecdotes of their most iconic tracks.
“Semo ciapai coe bombe” (“Are we in deep trouble?”)?
Perhaps. Who knows? One thing is for sure: Batisto Coco’s passion for playing music and making people dance to the rhythm of salsa, mambo, and cha-cha-cha is as alive as ever!
To celebrate their forty years on stage and twelve recorded albums, they have chosen to tell their story in this book. It is written with the same fresh irony found in the songs that made them known and loved by a vast audience—well beyond just Latin American music enthusiasts.
At the event, in dialogue with journalist Giorgio Cecchetti, the band will reveal the witty anecdotes behind cult tracks like “Tatiana”, “Bacan” “Cucador”, “Oro benon”, “El telefonin”, showcasing the magic of a unique project that seamlessly blends the Venetian dialect with vibrant Latin American rhythms.
Accompanying the selected lyrics, the authors share fascinating, often curious anecdotes that inspired the stories put to verse, references to their inspirations drawn from classical and traditional music, and memories of the many fellow travelers who have shared the stage with Batisto Coco along their long journey.
